Poets in the Park is celebrating nearly 30 years of bringing poetry in July to the Robert Burns statue in Washington Park, Albany, NY.
Winning and final poems from the 2017 Stephen A DiBiase Poetry Prize contest will be read on Sunday, May 7 at the Colonie Town Library.
On Sunday, January 29, poets will gather at Old Songs to celebrate the launch of Howard Kogan’s new book, A Chill in the Air. The gig will begin at 3 p.m. with a toast to the bard and a treat or two to boot. There will be an open mic, but poets will be limited to one poem that focuses on the theme.
This month at the Pine Hollow Arboretum, in addition to the open mic, there was a puppet show titled “Perious Frink & the Great Barrel Race”.
Our friends at the Rensselaerville Library are holding their 11th annual celebration of National Poetry Month with some great events planned.
