The next gathering of the Woodstock Poetry Society place this coming Saturday afternoon featuring poets Cheryl A. Rice and Glenn Werner.
The Calling All Poets Series in Beacon is a monthly poetry reading / open mic, and once a year they hold a marathon reading.
The Poetry Brothel, a uniquely immersive poetry experience that reinvents the brothel model by replacing the traditional “wares” with words.
This Saturday, Hudson Valley poets will be getting together for “I Did It With Will Nixon: New Adventures in Collaborative Poetry” at WAAM.
When the first Word Fest happened in 2001 it was an open mic. Since then Word Fest has grown & changed, but the one constant is the annual Word Fest Open Mic.
Word Fest week is here! We have a week’s worth of poetry & spoken word events lined up. Plus, there are open mics & reading taking place all over the area.
We are now within two weeks until the 2014 Albany Word Fest, our celebration of National Poetry Month and the poetry and spoken word of upstate NY.
There is a lot of poetry in the Hudson Valley happening this weekend including the Calling All Poets’ Poetry Marathon and the return of the Poetry Brothel.
Summer is here and what better way to beat the heat than some cool words. The poetry and spoken word will be flowing all week starting on Sunday afternoon in Troy with the Poetry + Prose open mic at the Arts Center.
The Hudson Valley Writers Guild supports the efforts of writers in all genres by sponsoring readings, workshops, and contests and providing a number of valuable resources for the entire literary community.
