It was a busy week for poetry, as many are in Albany, but Dan was able to make to The Low Beat for Brass Tacks with Ian Macks featured.

The 2018 Albany Word Fest is right around the corner. In just 10 days our week-long celebration of the poetry and spoken word kicks off at the Hudson River Coffee House.
The 2015 Albany Word Fest has been great and we have two more great events: the Word Fest Open Mic & 3rd Annual Word Fest Invitational Slam.
We have another great week of poetry ahead of us with in the region with featured readings, open mics, and more. Go out and support local art.
When the first Word Fest happened in 2001 it was an open mic. Since then Word Fest has grown & changed, but the one constant is the annual Word Fest Open Mic.

We are now within two weeks until the 2014 Albany Word Fest, our celebration of National Poetry Month and the poetry and spoken word of upstate NY.
