
Nitty Gritty Slam #66 – The Final Open Slam Before the Semi-Final
For one night only, Tuesday, March 18, Nitty Gritty Slam #66 will be at The Linda for the final Open Slam as we get closer to the Grand Slam.
Hailing originally from the Helderberg Mountains Avery has been in and out of the poetry scene for over a decade. His college days saw him venture deeply into the wilds of poetry and he has been lost there ever since, escaping from time to time to perform in front of audiences and then vanishing back into the nether realms of run on sentences, flowery metaphors and convoluted analogies.

On Tuesday, March 4 we are back at our new home, The Low Beat, for Nitty Gritty Slam #65, Albany’s one and only poetry slam series.

Dan Wilcox made it to Nitty Gritty Slam at Valentine’s for the “Dead Poets’ Slam,” just to see if anyone was going to read one of his poems.
It was a raucous Nitty Gritty Slam night with Eirean Bradley & Leah Noble Davidson as the features, as well as the customary open mic.
The Third Thursday Poetry Night for July featured Jacky Kirkpatrick and she dragged in her friends, making for a great, full open mic list.
