It was a beautiful (Mothers) day outdoors with Tulip Festival, but just the same the poets showed up for the open mic at the Arts Center.
We are getting closer to National Poetry Month, but as Dan Wilcox reminds us, “Every Day is Poetry Month in Albany” and we couldn’t agree more.
We have another big week of poetry and spoken word including a fresh Nitty Gritty Slam and the Third Thursday Poetry Night right on Central Ave.

The week kicks off on Sunday with the new series at the Social Justice Center, OPP – Other People’s Poetry (or Prose), featuring Daniel Nester.
