We are back in the swing of things starting Monday evening with the “back to school” edition of the Front Parlor storytelling series at the Olde English Pub. The rest of the week features exciting events with some great features and opportunities to get involved in open mics. Tuesday we are at Valentine’s for NGS #54. On Thursday night poetry returns to the Social Justice Center with Dan Wilcox‘s Third Thursday Poetry Night with featured reader Obeeduid. And that is just a small sample of what is going on.

We are back home at Valentine’s on Tuesday, September 17 for Nitty Gritty Slam #54, the second slam of Season Three of NGS. We will be back with our traditional “8-4-2″ slam format right after our open mic for poetry and spoken word. This year we have some new rules (the no-repeat rule is in effect) and some exciting featured poets lined up. Sign up begins at 7PM, open mic starts at 7:30, and the slam starts at 8PM. Admission is $5.00 ($3.00 with student ID). This is an 18+ show.
