It was a raucous Nitty Gritty Slam night with Eirean Bradley & Leah Noble Davidson as the features, as well as the customary open mic.
The words and excitement continue to flow when we return to Valentine’s on Tues, November 19 for the first Team Nitty Gritty 2014 Semi Final.
We are back at Valentine’s on Tuesday, October 1 for the 55th edition of Nitty Gritty Slam, continuing the third season of Albany’s only poetry slam series.
We have seven days that are full of spoken word ahead of us starting with the Sunday Four Poetry Open Mic in Voorheesville on Sunday afternoon.
OPP – Other People’s Poetry (or Prose) is a brand new series featuring a poet (or prose writer) reading the work of their favorite poet(s).
Nitty Gritty Slam #52: Season 2 Night of Champions was delivered to us like Monday night wrestling, only not quite (but almost) as scripted.
Nitty Gritty Slam is marking the end of its second year on Aug 20 with The Night of Champions where we invite all of the winners from Season Two to compete.
Join us at Valentine’s on Tuesday, August 6 for Nitty Gritty Slam #51, the last slam before Team Nitty Gritty heads off to Boston for the National Poetry Slam.
We’ve made it to Nitty Gritty Slam #50! In September 2011 we had no idea what the future would hold for Albany’s poetry slam. Come out and celebrate with us.
Nitty Gritty Slam is going to the National Poetry Slam! But, in order for us to take the world by storm, we have to get there and that’s where you come in.
The clock is ticking & we’re getting closer to the National Poetry Slam, but that doesn’t mean that we’re taking a rest from bringing poetry to Valentine’s.
