Poets in the Park is celebrating 30 years of bringing poetry in July to the Robert Burns statue in Washington Park, Albany, NY.

We are very excited about this year’s Albany Word Fest – a week of events with over 60 poets and writers sharing their work.
Kathleen McCoy will read from her work at the 2017 Albany Word Fest edition of the Third Thursday Poetry Night at the Social Justice Center.

On Wednesday, January 4, the great Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic returns to the newly renovated Caffe Lena with featured reader Kathleen McCoy.
We welcome in the New Year with a great week of poetry and spoken word readings, open mics, workshops, and slams all over the area.
On Wednesday, January 4, Caffè Lena will present a poetry reading by Kathleen McCoy. An open reading will follow. Doors open for sign-ups at 7 p.m., and the readings will start at 7:30.
The Hudson Valley Writers Guild supports the efforts of writers in all genres by sponsoring readings, workshops, and contests and providing a number of valuable resources for the entire literary community.
