We are wrapping up 2013 with the Sunday Four Open Mic in Voorheesville on Sunday then Monday night’s Poets Speak Loud at McGeary’s in Albany.
Just because it’s Christmas week, that doesn’t mean that poetry and spoken word take a break. There are plenty of readings & open mics next week.
Another big week of poetry this week as we get closer to the new year with a holiday Nitty Gritty Slam and the Third Thursday Poetry Night.
We are heading into Thanksgiving week with a lot of poetry events going on in between the turkey and shopping as we kick off the holiday season.
The week kicks off on Sunday with the new series at the Social Justice Center, OPP – Other People’s Poetry (or Prose), featuring Daniel Nester.
The week of words and ideas kicks off Sunday with Poetry + Prose at The Arts Center and continues with seven days of poetry readings, open mics, and slams.
Another big week of poetry starts this evening with Yes! at the Albany Center Gallery and continues all week with open mics and readings.
We are very fortunate to have so many open mics, featured readings, slams, and poetry events in the area. Go out and support local poetry!
We have seven days that are full of spoken word ahead of us starting with the Sunday Four Poetry Open Mic in Voorheesville on Sunday afternoon.
Another big week of words in the area starting on Monday with the “back to school” edition of the Front Parlor series at the Olde English.
Just looking at the calendar and realizing, once again, that we have a lot of poetry and spoken word events in the upstate New York region.
The Hudson Valley Writers Guild supports the efforts of writers in all genres by sponsoring readings, workshops, and contests and providing a number of valuable resources for the entire literary community.
