Another big week of poetry starts this evening with the Yes! series at the Albany Center Gallery. Tonight Matthew Klane and the good folks at Yes! are welcoming Kate GreenstreetPaige Ackerson-KielyDJ Dolack, and Jennifer Karmin to the stage for what promises to be a great night of poetry and performance.

The great Sunday Four Poetry Open Mic in Voorheesville kicks off the week with Victoria Sullivan as the featured poet. And we are back at McGeary’s on Monday night for Poets Speak Loud with the our featured reader Adam Tedesco. Mary Panza will be back as the host and ring leader of the monthly poetry open mic. There is so much going on the rest of the week, seven full nights in fact. Get out there and support your local poets and artists.

Monthly open mic for poets and poetry with a featured poet hosted by Dennis Sullivan, Mike Burke, and Edie Abrams at the Old Songs Community Center in beautiful Voorheesville, NY. The featured poet this month is Victoria Sullivan.

 

Monday, October 28

7:30pm – Poets Speak Loud
McGeary’s, 4 Clinton Square, Albany, NY
Poets Speak Loud is Albany Poets’ monthly open mic for poetry and spoken word with a featured poet. This month the long-running open mic will be hosted by Mary Panza with the incredible featured poet Adam Tedesco.

8:00pm – Northampton Poetry Open Mic
Hinge, 48 Main St., Northampton, MA
Northampton’s only weekly open mic poetry night offers some of the best, most creative voices in the county. Every Tuesday night at 8:00pm. Come down and listen. Come down and share your words. Academic or slam, spoken word or political: Your words are welcome.

Calling All Poets is a monthly open mic series, hosted by Jim EveMike Jurkovic, and Robert Milby, with two featured readers at the beautiful and historic Howland Cultural Center in Beacon.

8:00pm – The Parlor Cafe Open Mic
The Parlor Cafe, 303 Ashland Street, North Adams, MA
A weekly open mic each and every Friday at the Parlor Cafe in North Adams for poets, musicians, and artists. Signup at the bar and get ready for the show, starting at 8:00pm.

 

Saturday, November 2

3:30pm – Poetry on the Loose

Poetry on the Loose is a monthly poetry and spoken word open mic series that takes place on the first Saturday of each month with a featured reader, hosted by William Seaton.

  1. H8lj Lately I would be so very lacking in cash and debts were killing me from everywhere. that was RIGHT UNTIL i found out how to generate money on the INTERNET!
