Happy New Year! Welcome to 2014 and we have a lot of great events, readings, and projects coming up in the next few months. Our first event of the year is this Tuesday, January 7, with NGS #61 at Valentine’s with a very special featured performance from Def Poet Gemineye.
Next Saturday, January 18 we are hosting a night of poetry, spoken word, and community at The Linda for the first Albany Poets Presents. This show will be a “re-launch” of sorts for Albany Poets and a fund raiser for the coming year. Come out and support the great poetry and spoken word scene that we have here in Albany.

We are back at Valentine’s on Tuesday, December 17 for the first Nitty Gritty Slam of 2014 with a featured performance from Def Poet Gemineye. Sign up begins at 7PM, open mic starts at 7:30, and the slam starts at 8PM. Admission is $5.00 ($3.00 with student ID). This is an 18+ show.
