Poets Speak Loud Featuring Michael Thomas-Newton

The Poets Speak Loud open mic series continues at McGeary’s in downtown Albany on Monday, August 26, with featured reader Michael Thomas-Newton.

Michael Thomas-Newton is the author of a half dozen unpublished chapbooks as well as some un-staged one-act plays. Grappling with insecurities and other demons he infrequently performs poetry to express what he hopes the world will hear: There are miracles in every breath you take and possibilities of healing and redemption with every scar you kiss and share.
