We are back at The Low Beat on Tuesday, September 1 to kick off Season Five of Nitty Gritty Slam!
At the last slam we crowed the Season Four Champion of Champions and now we are ready to start fresh. All of the points have been reset to zero and everyone is on a level playing field.
We also have some new rules, theme nights, volunteers , announcements, hosts, and other surprises that will be revealed on Tuesday night.
Who will be the first winner of the season? Who will raise the bar and set their sights on #TeamNittyGritty 2016? All of those questions will be answered when we start Season Four at NGS 101.
If you’re not into competing in the slam, but want to get on stage and share your work, we have an open mic before the slam hosted by Kevin Peterson. Sign up begins at 7:00pm, open mic starts at 7:30, and then Thom Francis starts the slam at 8:00pm. Admission is $5.00 ($3.00 with student ID). This is an 18+ show.
