We are kicking the weekend off big tonight with two great events taking place in the region. The first is the Surreal Cabaret down in Sugar Loaf mixing poetry, drama, dance, and music, while featuring conceptual play, experimentation, and improvisation into one incredible show. And up here in Albany, Team Nitty Gritty member Saymo (Christopher The Poet) is hosting a listening party for his new album at The Book Club. This will also be a farewell performance for him as he is moving back to South Carolina very soon. We will certainly miss him and his poetry and can’t wait to see what he creates after the move.
We pick the poetry back up on Monday at McGeary’s with the incredible Bertha Rogers as the featured poet at Poets Speak Loud.
