Open Mic

We have a lot of poetry events coming up next week. For a third week in a row, there are seven full days of open mics and readings going on the upstate area starting on Sunday, May 27 with a poetry and spoken word open mic in Voorheesville with yours truly as the featured poet.

Sunday, May 27

2:00pm – Sunday Four Poetry Open Mic
Old Songs Community Center, 37 South Main Street, Voorheesville
Open Mic for poets and poetry with a featured poet Thom Francis. Hosted by Dennis Sullivan, Mike Burke, and Edie Abrams

 

Monday, May 28

1:00pm – Memorial Day Wendell Word Festival
Deja Brew Pub, 57 Lockes Village Road, Wendell, MA
3 Annual Memorial Day Wendell Word Festival 2012. Doors open at 1:00 in the afternoon. First 5 Minute slot begins at 2:00 pm. With good weather bring a blanket, lawn chair, umbrella, we will be outside with an out door stage.
There will be food to purchase and alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Tables for your books and regional publishers will be available for perusing. It’s looking like a great day from the poets sign up so far.
