The last Monday of the month is when Poets Speak Loud! is at McGeary’s and since it was the last Monday of May, it was also Memorial Day.
There was a good group of local poets gathered to read in the open mic & to hear our featured poet, Janet Hamill at the Social Justice Center.
We are now within two weeks until the 2014 Albany Word Fest, our celebration of National Poetry Month and the poetry and spoken word of upstate NY.
It was a small, but attentive gathering for our featured poet, Chad Lowther, at Don Levy’s Live From The Living Room series at The Pride Center.
Dan Wilcox made it back from Cape Cod just in time to be part of the August edition of Poets Speak Loud with featured poet Bertha Rogers.
