Dan WIlcox was back in Albany, at McGeary’s, for the open mic. It was supposed to be a “roast” of Mary Panza, but that was postponed until the Fall.
Poets Speak Loud is a monthly open mic for poetry and spoken word with a featured poet hosted by Mary Panza. This long-running series is held on the last Monday of each month at McGeary’s (4 Clinton Square, Albany) in downtown Albany. Sign-up for the open mic is 7:00pm, start time is 7:30pm.

On Monday , March 31, Poets Speak Loud will present our Fourth “Annual” Celebrity Roast at McGeary’s! This time around we’re roasting Mary Panza.
Albany Poets returns to McGeary’s on Monday, February 24, for Poets Speak Loud. with featured poet Saint Rose professor Melody Davis.
Albany Poets will celebrate the 9th anniversary of Poets Speak Loud and commemorate the life of Tom Nattell at McGeary’s on Monday, January 27.
We return to McGeary’s in downtown Albany on Monday, December 30, for the Holiday Hangover edition of Poets Speak Loud, the last PSL of 2013.
We return to McGeary’s on Monday, November 25 for the pre-Thanksgiving edition of Poets Speak Loud with featured reader Annie Petrie Sauter.
Albany Poets returns to McGeary’s on Monday, October 28 for the pre-Halloween edition of Poets Speak Loud with featured reader Adam Tedesco.
We return to McGeary’s on September 30 for the “back to school” edition of Poets Speak Loud with featured reader Jacqueline Kirkpatrick.
