The Adirondack Center for Writing is bringing back its popular 8-week creative writing workshop for adults ages 55+, led by author and professor Elaine Handley.
Legacy writing encompasses what we wish for our loved ones to know about us and how we have navigated our lives. Legacy writing preserves our values, stories, opinions, history, and experiences through a creative lens. Students in this workshop will be introduced to engaging prompts, inspiring texts, and a warm, supportive community dedicated to getting words on the page. No prior experience with creative writing is necessary.
This workshop provides 16 hours of in-class instructor time and assignments to take your writing further. This fee will enable them to pay their instructors fairly and offer new workshops in the future.
The workshop series will take place Wednesdays, May 7 – June 25, 10 AM – 12 PM at Heaven Hill Farm, Lake Placid, NY
Registration: $80 – $200 (Sliding Scale/Pay What You Can)
