Congratulations to HVWG interns Angelina Mandell and Tamara Smith on graduation from The College of St. Rose. They, and 2023 St. Rose graduate Charley Bertolino, fulfilled a graduation requirement with their school’s English department through a 120+ hour internship that included staffing events, expanding the guild’s comprehensive literary-events calendar, conducting interviews and writing articles for the website, and helping compile the poetry yearbook, offline.
Other interns we’ve mentored since formalizing the program in 2022 include U-Albany student Kehinde Adejumo (’26) and U-Albany graduates Willow Singletary (’22) and Samuel Maurice (’21), who turned to us for a mentored experience post-graduation, and while serving as co-editor of Dead Man Press Ink’s co-editor.
