The Women Writers & Artists Matrix presents an “Awesome Autumn Retreat,” November 4-6 at Skidmore College’s Bolton Hall in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY.
This two-day retreat for women, people who identify as female, or are nonbinary will feature:
- The Art of Catching Words & Dreams – Dorothy Randall Gray
- Writing Towards Change, A Sensory Practice – Caits Meissner
- Rocking Recycled Art Jewelry – Mary Frances Millet
- My Body Was…Is…Will Be..: Embodied Writing in Challenging Times – Leslie Neustadt
The beautiful Skidmore campus is a perfect setting for harvesting your creativity. We think you’ll be inspired by our 2.5-hour workshops, and enjoy having plenty of time for writing, art making, reflection, and feedback.
Our classes are small, intimate environments. At our Wine & Cheese Evening Reading you’ll share what you’ve written and show what you’ve made.
You can start your day with mindful meditation, hot coffee, tea, juice, bagels, and fruit. Throughout the day we keep snacks and chocolates in the workshop rooms. We have a Playshop set up with markers, sketch pads, collage materials, and items for creative playing. There’s also a Writing Room for working on your next project or starting a new one.
Our WWAMarketplace provides you with space for selling books or other items.
The weekend starts with a Conscious Conversations dinner at a Saratoga restaurant – our hostess offers us engaging prompts, and we present you with a free gift. The best gift of all is the precious company of kindred creative women.
