The Hudson Valley Writers Guild has existed since 1983- let’s not watch it breakdown now- on the shirttails of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have all experienced permanent changes in our lives.
Currently, the Guild needs board members who are willing to work a few hours each month to keep us going. There is always praise for our programs which we provide free of charge thanks to our loyal members.
The following are the roles we need filled:
- Hospitality- to provide snacks at meetings (reimbursed)
- Secretary- take & type minutes of board meetings
- Publicity- an important role that has been sorely neglected of late.
It is also possible to serve on the board without a specific role.
The board meets every other month under ‘normal’ conditions- email otherwise. Programs can be hosted through ZOOM.
