Writers in the Mountains (WIM) presents Modern Love, a six-week creative writing workshop with Elizabeth Koster, July 9 – August 13, 2021. The class will be held online Fridays, from 1 to 3 pm. Once they register and pay, participants will be given instructions on how to join the class.

In this class, you will have the opportunity to complete an essay that you can submit for consideration in the New York Times Modern Love column. Through prompts and exercises, supportive feedback, a study of published essays, and discussions on tips and pitfalls, you will be able to sculpt and hone the story that you need to tell and the world needs to read.

She serves as a writing mentor for Girls Write Now and has taught creative writing to high school students, Columbia undergraduates, senior citizens at JASA, and incarcerated women on Rikers Island. She lives in New York City and is currently completing a memoir.
