On March 11, Schenectady’s 2nd Wednesday Poets will feature the always-popular Bunkong Tuon at CREATE Community Studios, 137 State Street.

On March 11, Schenectady’s 2nd Wednesday Poets will feature the always-popular Bunkong Tuon at CREATE Community Studios, 137 State Street. Come hear “BK’s” newest work and bring a page or two of your own writing to share at the open mic. Readings start at 7:30 PM.

Bunkong Tuon is a Cambodian-American writer and critic. He is the author of GruelAnd So I Was Blessed (both published by NYQ Books), The Doctor Will Fix It (Shabda Press), and Dead Tongue (a chapbook with Joanna C. Valente, Yes Poetry). He is a contributor to Cultural Weekly. His poetry won the 2019 Nasiona Nonfiction Poetry Prize. Tuon teaches at Union College, in Schenectady, NY.

Admission is free and cookies & non-alcoholic beverages are available for a donation. Free parking is available on State Street and Liberty Street, and in the parking lot directly behind the building on South Ferry.
