Join us for the 2nd Albany Book Festival form 10AM to 5PM Saturday, September 14, on the University’s Uptown Campus, 1400 Washington Avenue.
Mary Perez has created a carefully etched picture of a family farm slowly falling apart and the lives of the people who occupy it.
The Hudson Valley Writers Guild will present a reading to showcase members who are prose writers.
In addition to the open mic readings, Schenectady’s 2nd Wednesday Poetry Series will feature Judith Kerman and Marilyn McCabe at C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios.
Beacon writer Donna Minkowitz will teach an 8-week memoir workshop this fall on Wednesday nights starting September 25.
Suzanne Rancourt has two upcoming events in September and October in the area.
Two poems – “327 Days After Sentencing” and “Three Days Before Sentencing” – from poet Rebecca Schumejda.
This event, in The Olde English Pub shady garden, was a collaboration with Historic Cherry Hill and Albany Poets.
The Reher Center for Immigrant Culture and History wants poetry about the Hudson Valley and Hudson River by its immigrant poets past and present.
Poet Brett Petersen will be the featured reader at the Third Thursday Poetry Night at the Social Justice Center in Albany on September 19.
On Wednesday, September 4, the long-running Caffe Lena Poetry Open Mic series continues with featured poet Suzanne Rancourt.
