On Wednesday, December 5, Caffè Lena will present a poetry reading by Steven Huff with an open mic to follow.
Since 2003, Caffe Lena Poetry Night hosted by Carol Graser meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Each month we have an open mic reading at the beginning and end of night, with a featured reading in between. The doors open and sign-ups start at 7 PM. We start the open mic reading at 7:30, and have the featured reading start around 8. For the open mic, please plan to read no more than 2 short poems or one longer poem.
Steven Huff is the author of three collections of poetry, including A Fire in the Hill , new from Blue Horse Press, and two story collections, including Blissful and Other Stories (Cosmographia, 2017). He is editor of Knowing Knott: Essays on an American Poet (Tiger Bark, 2017). Recent essays have appeared in The Gettysburg Review and the Solstice Literary Magazine. He is a Pushcart Prize winner in fiction and an O. Henry finalist. The Founding Publisher and Editor at Tiger Bark Press, he teaches creative writing at the Solstice Low-Residency MFA Program at Pine Manor College in Boston. He lives in Rochester NY.
