Kendall Hoeft is leading a new class, “Poetry in Motion”, at The Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy combining poetry and dance starting on Thursday, November 1 and continuing every Thursday (except 11/22) until December 13.
Poets & dancers unite! This six-week course focuses on the intersection between words and movement. Students are guided in mutual inspiration, as they explore cross-genre collaboration. Poets are given writing assignments and prompts to polish their writing skills as well as opportunities to develop their performative reading skills; while dancers learn to interpret language through physical expression. All levels welcome.
