On Wednesday, January 3, Caffè Lena will present a poetry reading by Nancy White. An open reading will follow. Doors open for sign-ups at 7pm and the readings will start at 7:30. The host for the event will be Carol Graser and the cost is $5, free for students

Nancy White is the author of three poetry collections: Sun, Moon, Salt, winner of the Washington Prize for poetry; Detour; and her latest, Ask Again Later. She publishes in a range of literary journals, from Ploughshares and FIELD to New England Review, Rattle, and New Orleans Review. Locally she’s a proud member of The Women of Mass Dissemination.This team shares the quest to make the time to write, nourish the drive to publish, and survive the slings and arrows of rejection along the way. Nancy has taught at Bennington College, Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, and is currently a professor of English at SUNY Adirondack. She’s also president and editor-in-chief of a nonprofit poetry organization, The Word Works, based in Washington DC.
