The Poets Speak Loud open mic series continues at McGeary’s in downtown Albany on Monday, July 31, with featured reader Dawn Marar.
Dawn Marar has been selected as a finalist in the Nimrod International Journal’s Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry. Three of her poems will be published in the fall 2017 issue. Her chapbook, Efflorescence has been accepted for publication by Finishing Line Press.
Poets Speak Loud is Albany Poets’ long-running monthly open mic for poetry and spoken word with a featured poet hosted by local poet Mary Panza at McGeary’s (4 Clinton Square) in downtown Albany on the last Monday of each and every month.
Sign-up for the open mic is 7:00 p.m., reading starts around 8 p.m.
