Here are a couple new poetry podcasts to add to your playlists that we wanted to share.

The first is “Poetry Spoken Here” from our good friend, and Three Guys From Albany member, Charlie Rossiter. In it, they explore how poetry comes to life when read. Episodes will feature interviews with poets, segments about the impact of performed poetry, and examinations of poets and poetic themes of the past and present. New episodes will post the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. You can listen to previous podcasts and other exclusive audio in our “Podcast Archive” at http://www.poetryspokenhere.com

On the next episode there will be an interview with poet and activist Dan Wilcox, and discussion of bi-lingual poetry with Gregorio Gomez.

The second podcast that we want to mention is called “Music for the Prose.” This podcast series is different in that it sets an improvised original score designed to complement the spoken word. Produced by Daniela Candillari and Kelli Ruttle in New York City, the series compilations are dedicated to a specific theme, the first theme being New York City. Each chosen piece is either written about or inspired by some aspect of the city. This first series is almost complete, and the new series will debut this next week.
