Please join Albany Poets tomorrow on Lark Street, in front of the UAG Gallery, as we will be part of the local PARK(ing) Day festivities along with many other businesses, artists, and organizations around the city.
PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks.
The event runs from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Albany Poets will have space for local poets including Kevin Peterson, R.M. Engelhardt, Mary Panza, Thom Francis and others to write poems for the community, an opportunity for people to come and write their own poetry, and a special open mic for poetry and spoken word throughout the day. We will also have information on how you can get involved in the Albany poetry community.
We’ve been saying “Write What You Live What You Write” for a while and this tomorrow you can come out to Lark Street and do just that, write!
