The monthly Woodstock Poetry Society meeting at the Colony Cafe is being pushed back for a week this month due to the Woodstock Film Festival. On Saturday, October 20, poets and friends will gather at the great Colony Cafe for an open mic with featured readers Adrianna Delgado and marina mati. This makes for a very busy day for host Phillip Levine as he will be hosting the COW reading later on the evening of October 20th in Kingston.

The Woodstock Film Festival is in town – this month the WPS&F reading we will be October 20th NOT October 13th.
Poets Adrianna Delgado and marina mati will be the featured readers, along with an open mike when the Woodstock Poetry Society & Festival meets at the Colony Cafe, 22 Rock City Road, on Saturday, October 20th at 2pm. Note: WPS&F meetings are (almost always) held the 2nd Saturday of every month.
The readings will be hosted by Woodstock area poet Phillip Levine. All mfeetings are free, open to the public, and include an open mike.
Adrianna Delgado – Poet. Philosopher. Person.
marina mati – marina mati, born and bred in NYC, was frequently featured throughout the tri-state region. It included Speakeasy on MacDougal Street where she eventually inherited the reins from Mindy Slater and, with Debra Allen, hosted and produced that series. They featured such poets as Hal Sirowitz and Sapphire. Residing in Orange County, NY since ’98, marina mati has featured at major venues throughout the Hudson Valley.
Publishing credits include various anthologies in NYC and the Hudson Valley, Raul Maldonado’s The Company We Keep, The NE College of Poetry’s First Annual Wawayanda Review and Chris Wood’s Heyday Magazine. There is a CD of her work entitled Preservation produced by Mike Jurkovic.
She’s earned her way through life as a waitress, cook and baker, an office worker and delivery person for exotic fruit. Also as assistant manager at Starbuck’s in NYC, her record for caffeine intoxication was four double espressos a day with whipped cream. She now works in the area’s favorite health food store and drinks decaf.
She most enjoys reading her work for an audience and is also an actress recently involved in staged readings of new plays by the talented Lisa Kimble.
