Nitty Gritty Slam Presents The First Inappropriate Slam at Valentine’s on Tuesday, October 30

On Tuesday, October 30 we are hosting our first ever Inappropriate Slam for a special 5th Tuesday edition of Nitty Gritty Slam. If you have poems that you think will make folks feel a little uneasy and uncomfortable, then this is the slam for you. Anything goes regarding content this time around at the slam. You have three minutes to make the judges squirm with your own inappropriate words.

This is the slam that Mojavi has been excited about and looking forward to all season, so you are not going to want to miss this one.

*NOTE – We will be upstairs at Valentine’s for this edition of NGS.

We will also have door prizes for those who come out to the show thanks to Daniel Nester.

Albany Poets, Urban Guerilla Theatre, and The Frequency North Reading Series are bringing slam back to Albany with the NITTY GRITTY SLAM.

NGS takes place at Valentine’s (17 New Scotland Ave.) on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday’s of each month.

If you’re not into slam, but want to get on stage and share your work, we have an open mic before the slam.

Sign up begins at 7PM, open mic starts at 7:30, and the slam starts at 8PM.

Admission is $5.00 ($3.00 with student ID). This is an 18+ show.
