On Wednesday, September 5, just one day after we kick off the new season of the Nitty Gritty Slam, the team will be traveling up to the historic Caffe Lena for the monthly poetry open mic. Not only is this going to be a special event, highlighting the incredible talent from Albany’s poetry slam series, but it is also host Carol Graser’s birthday.
Fresh off their trip to the National Poetry Slam in Charlotte, North Carolina, the team performing poetry and spoken word at Caffe Lena will be Kevin Peterson, Shannon Shoemaker, ILLiptical, D. Colin, Algorhythm, and Elizag.
