We had a “small, but mighty crowd” Monday night at Professor Java’s for the monthly Wide Open Mic. Poets Kevin Peterson, Dain Brammage, Ed Rinaldi, and Laura (new name to the list) were joined on stage with the musical talents of the Normanskill Saxons and the new, young band, The Grisly Ghouls of Terror.

Be sure to join us for the next Wide Open Mic on Monday, February 13, hosted by Kevin Peterson. Sign up will begin at 7:15 with the open mic starting at 8:00.

Thom Francis has been organizing, promoting, and hosting open mics and poetry / spoken word events in Albany such as Nitty Gritty Slam, School of Night, Albany Poets Presents..., and the Albany Word Fest for over 20 years.
