Nitty Gritty Slam #6 – November 15, 2011
The sixth edition of Albany’s brand new poetry slam saw ILLiptical take the first place prize with Poetyc Vyzonz and L-Majesty close behind in second and third place after another great open mic.
The Intangible Collective – November 18, 2011
Albany Poets was invited to be a part of the recent Intangible Collective show at Valentines. Dain Brammage, Kevin Peterson, and Ed Rinaldi took to the stage to represent the area’s poetry community before the touring poets shared their amazing talent with the very receptive crowd.
Poets Speak Loud – November 28, 2011
We gathered at McGeary’s for the monthly Poets Speak Loud open mic with featured poet Kevin Peterson, hosted by Albany’s Poetry Diva Mary Panza. Local poets Dan Wilcox, Ed Rinaldi, Dain Brammage, Don Levy, Mojavi, Joe Krausman, Carolee Sherwood, Elizag, R.M. Engelhardt, Poetyc Vyzonz, Leslie Michelle and a few new faces all got up to the mic at the post-Thanksgiving event.
