The first slam of 2014 and one of the last to take place at our current home. Dan Wilcox was there, competed, and took a lot of notes.
Dan Wilcox made it to Nitty Gritty Slam at Valentine’s for the “Dead Poets’ Slam,” just to see if anyone was going to read one of his poems.
The words and excitement continue to flow when we return to Valentine’s on Tues, November 19 for the first Team Nitty Gritty 2014 Semi Final.
Dan decided to venture out to the slam and take his chances on stage, particularly since this the “Inappropriate Slam” and everyone knows I have plenty of inappropriate poems.
The Third Thursday Poetry Night for July featured Jacky Kirkpatrick and she dragged in her friends, making for a great, full open mic list.
