Graser to Read at Poetry on the Loose

Carol Graser

If the timing works out right, you can go this reading down in Sugar Loaf featuring the incredible Carol Graser and make it back in time for the first Poets in the Park reading.

We mentioned this reading a couple of days ago in the Upcoming Poetry Events post, but forgot to mention the new venue and time. From this weekend going forward, all Poetry on the Loose readings will be held at the Seligmann Estate, the home of the Orange County Citizen’s Foundation and the Orange County Arts Council, 23 White Oak Drive in Sugar Loaf, near the Lycian Center.  The poetry readings will begin a half hour earlier too, at 3:30 instead of 4:00.

Here is some more information from host Bill Seaton:

Carol Graser will read at the next program in the Poetry on the Loose Reading/Performance Series.  The event will be held at 23 White Oak Drive, Sugar Loaf at the Seligmann Estate at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7.  Following the feature, others are welcome to read original work.  Admission is free.

Well-known as the host of the monthly poetry reading series at Saratoga’s legendary Caffè Lena, she has read her poetry throughout the area at community events, fund-raisers, and anti-war rallies as well as other poetry venues.  She has also worked with an accomplished jazz composer and a percussionist, creating performance pieces that blend music and poetry.

The next Poetry on the Loose reading will be held at 3:30 on August 4 and will feature Carolee Sherwood.
