Poetry & the 2020 Election

Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country … by signing into watch this election poesis in action livestream from Green Kill Gallery.

Connect with Hudson Valley poets as they respond, bemoan, exalt, cajole, grimace and sing of the 2020 elections and the human fate it freights, weeks away from the November 3rd vote! Poets will read from their own politically touched and/or charged work, as well as that of others as it may befall, and separately address their own perspective on this historic/climactic moment via a “special guest star.”

Poets will include Brenda Coultas, Christopher Funkhouser, Anne Gorrick, Amy King, George Quasha, Evelyn Reilly, Michael Ruby, Sparrow, Edwin Torres, and Sam Truitt, with special guest stars Bruce and Joanne Weber.

This event is in conjunction with a series of commentaries, “Poetry and the 2020 Election,” showcasing responses from Hudson Valley poets to this poetry-politics crisscross, on UPenn’s Jacket2.
