Poetry Open Mic @ La Perla
Come read your poetry, or simply come to enjoy this monthly poetry open mic sponsored by Arts, Letters & Numbers (ALN), Averill Park’s dynamic arts, education and publishing nonprofit organization.
Hosted by local poet Rhonda Rosenheck, the monthly event is offered with no cover and no minimum. La Perla’s Event Menu offers small plates, drinks and desserts at moderate prices. Traditional dinner menu also available.
Doors open at 6:30 for seating, ordering and open mic sign-up.
Readings begin at 7:00 PM.
Poets, you are all welcome! Whether you scribble a few lines after a grueling day or you’ve achieved international acclaim for your latest collection of verse, you’ll have five minutes at the mic to read your work (usually enough for 2-3 short poems or 1-2 longer ones).
We meet on the last Wednesday of the month (watch for very occasional exceptions, like Christmas Day 2025) at this lovely Italian restaurant, now owned by ALN to support local arts and education programming.
