“Midwinter Day” Marathon Reading
Bernadette Mayer’s Midwinter Day: All Day Reading open to any and all to participate!
December 21, 2024 – start time 1pm
“Midwinter Day” is a 120-page work in prose and poetry written by Bernadette Mayer on December 22, 1978, using notes, tapes, photographs, and memory. It divides the day into six parts: dreams, morning, noontime, afternoon, evening, and night. We will read the poem in its entirety, and if it is read before the end of the day, we will read it again!
RSVP to participate. This is a wonderful way to celebrate Bernadette Mayer’s famous long poem.
