What an amazing project – the book and the video series. My father had the exact experiences in WW2 and I identified and felt and cried all the way through this. How amazing to go back to ‘see’ my father at 21-22 years of age, dealing with life and death in that way! Though I have seen numerous movie and TV renditions of these experiences, none have moved me to so closely identify and feel what went on for these men and women. My father felt, after surviving being shot down, parachuting into Germany and being imprisoned, that the rest of his life was a bonus and a gift. He continued to fly small aircraft and glory in showing people ‘the air,’ for the rest of his life. Thank you for the incredible work you did to bring the reality alive with intense detail! Thank you for bringing me to dwell with my father in that way.
