Long Story Short Workshop
Short stories may be short, but do fewer words mean less effort by the author? Ironically, economy and efficiency are sometimes achieved only by extra focus on craft. Art Taylor is an associate professor of English at George Mason University, and as the winner of many prestigious awards, he knows a thing or two about what makes a good short story. He’ll join members of the Upper Hudson Sisters in Crime chapter for a workshop on how writers shift their efforts toward character, plot, setting, motif, and more to accomplish a lot in small spaces.
Join us via Zoom on January 20 from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm, or at the Bethlehem Library, 451 Delaware Ave, Delmar, NY. It’s free and open to the public. Register for the Zoom link here: https://upperhudsonsinc.com/events
