Caffè Lena Presents 60 Years of Banned Books
Caffè Lena and the Saratoga Springs Public Library come together to celebrate Banned Books Week with a night of music and reading from books that have been banned or challenged throughout the last 60 years on October 5th from 6-8 pm. Both organizations recognize the contributions of authors and illustrators amid the current increase in national efforts to ban controversial books from libraries, suppressing conversations and the ability to think for ourselves. Local authors will read from selected titles, with musical performances by Reese Fulmer and Dan Berggren. For more info and to register to attend (free of charge), check out the page on Saratoga Springs Public Library’s website.
