The first Wednesday of every month is Poetry Night at Caffe Lena. Hosted by Carol Graser, this event includes an open mic reading and a featured poet. Signups open at 6:30, and the readings start at 7 p.m. On March 5, the featured poet is Bunkong Tuon. The featured reading will also be live-streamed. Bunkong Tuon is a Cambodian American writer, Pushcart Prize–winning poet, and professor who teaches at Union College in Schenectady, in NY. His work has appeared in World Literature Today, Copper Nickel, New York Quarterly, Massachusetts Review, diode poetry, Verse Daily, among others. He is the author of several poetry collections. His most recent publications were a Greatest Hits chapbook, What is Left, published by Jacar Press, and a novel, Koan Khmer, published by Northwestern UP.
