Albany poet, Therese Broderick, invited me on Facebook to this Zoom event from Amesbury, Massachusetts, hosted by the current Amesbury Poet Laureate, Ellie O’Leary.
That is, “Rest in Punk.” It was sad to read in the Times Union of the closing of The Low Beat, another victim of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
Dan Wilcox was able to host one Poets in the Park reading this year with featured readers Austin Houston and Sarah Giragosian.
Recently retired from government service Tim Verhaegen has attended some Zoom poetry meetings & got the bug to take the leap to organize his first open mic.
Trio House Press hosted a special reading via Zoom featuring Bradford Tice, Artess Bethany White, and Michele Battiste.
On May 14 FFAPL held a stay-at-home online version of the Meet the Author event, with a reading and talk by Elisa Albert.

Poetic Vibe is one of the first regular venues that jumped on the Zoom flying saucer to take us into whatever you call this strange event happening in my house.
