Poets & other citizens will gather at the Robert Burns statue in Washington Park to celebrate the birthday of Walt Whitman, with a reading of his poem “Song of Myself”.
Writers in the Mountains (WIM) will present The Journey from Theme to Images to Poem with Sharon Ruetenik, May 8 to June 19, 2017.
Poet Peter Marcus will read from his work at the Social Justice Center, 33 Central Ave., Albany on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 7:30PM.
Catherine Norr hosts Arthur’s Poetry Open Mic on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, with featured poet Philomena Moriarty.
On Wednesday, May 3, Caffè Lena will present poetry readings by Kate McNairy and Bernadette Mayer with an open reading will follow.
On Saturday May 6th, the Roe Jan Community Library will host a Short Prose Open Mic. in the library community room from 4-6 pm.
