Children’s Writers of the Hudson Valley June Conference

This full day-conference is for adults who are interested in writing for children. Two children’s book editors and one book agent will lead 2-hour, hands-on workshops. Attendees will choose either a picture book workshop or a workshop on writing novels for middle graders and teens. There will be a second workshop for all attendees on the publishing process.Faculty includes Upstart Crow Literary agent Alexandra Penfold, Roaring Brook editor Mekisha Telfer and Pixel & Ink Editor Alison Weiss. The keynote address will be given by New York Times Bestselling author Susanna Leonard Hill. $115 admission. One-on-one manuscripts are available first come, first serve, for an additional fee.
