COLLAR CITY MUSHROOMS -– WRITE-INSPONSORED BY MENTAL HEALTH EMPOWERMENT PROJECT
Mental Health Empowerment Project, an organization of mental health peers, invites writers to join the Expressive Writing Group it sponsors at Collar City Mushrooms in Troy, regardless of whether the participants identify as living with a mental health issue. THE GROUP IS OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY and is not intended to be a group for therapy but simply a meeting place for people who enjoy writing.
Prompts to facilitate the writing process will be given during each session, and group members will share what they have written during the workshop. Participants can expect that they will write about three pieces during the hour-and-a-half sessions. Paper and pens are provided.
