New Tool in Solving Cold Cases
If you’ve heard of the “Golden Gate Serial Killer,” then you may already be aware of Forensic Investigative Genetic Geneaology or FIGG. It’s a groundbreaking forensic tool using crime scene DNA to help investigators track genetic relatives and identify suspects and/or unidentified victims. FIGG has helped investigators solve hundreds of cold cases nationwide in the past few years.
Michelle Clark, a Medicolegal Death Investigator for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Connecticut joins the Upper Hudson Chapter of Sisters in Crime to explain FIGG and answer questions. The meeting is Saturday, January 18, from 11:15 am – 12:15 pm. It’s Zoom only and free. All are welcome, but registration is required: https://upperhudsonsinc.com/events/
