Wild Words: Adirondack Teen Writing Anthology is a publication of the Adirondack Center for Writing, created to give teens a venue to publish their original creative writing. Any teen (age 13-19) living in the North Country is eligible to submit writing for consideration.
What They’re Looking For:
Poetry, short stories, short memoirs, and personal essays written by teens living in the North Country of New York.
- Poems – Submit up to 5 poems (or 5 pages of poetry).
- Stories, essays, other – Submit up to 1,000 words max (shorter is ok).
- All writing must be submitted in one file (Word or PDF).
- Include a title for each piece.
Timeline:
October 24, 2024 – Submissions open
March 3, 2025 – Submissions close
April 1, 2025 – Contributors notified if their work has been accepted for publication
Late April, 2025 – Anthology book launch in Saranac Lake
